    Aburame


    The Aburame bloodline is rather aberrant; their unique abilities are often perceived as grotesque by other ninja. Originating from Konohagakure, members of this generally reticent clan are offered at birth as a nest to a special breed of insects. These insects, dubbed "kikaichuu" (parasitic destruction insect, live and breed within the Aburame's body. The insects themselves are special, having many abilities related to chakra and its manipulation; they feed off of chakra as an energy source. In exchange for their body as a nest, these bugs serve their host completely, able to be controlled telepathically and instantaneously. This mutual symbiosis is beneficial for both the kikaichuu and the Aburame; allowing them both to have access to powers otherwise unheard of.

    Your bugs can be any insect genus that you wish, but their makeup will not affect their abilities, in or out of combat; all Aburame kikaichuu function the same, no matter what kind of insect it is.
    Kikaichuu cannot be targeted, affected by AoE attacks, and are immune to genjutsu.

    Bloodline Abilities


    Kikaichu

      Type: Ability

      Description
      The kikaichuu that live inside the Aburame are alive and consistently in motion. They are not immune to damage or death, and will often die when their living hive is damaged. The insects reproduce at a high enough rate that this doesn't affect the Aburame's combat abilities. Instead, when their insects die, they expel their chakra, which is then absorbed by their host to replenish their own.

    Kikai Adaptation

      Type: Ability

      Description
      Although the insects are rudimentary, their chakra nature and sheer age have made them very adept at adapting to various conditions. These bugs can use their chakra manipulation abilities to give themselves, and thus their host extra survivability in harsh conditions. The kikaichu react very quickly to aggression towards their hive, changing their chakra structure to protect them after they are harmed.

      After you take damage, the next time you are dealt damage of the same type as that damage it is reduced by -5%. Each hit of a multi-hit jutsu is considered a different damage 'time'.

    Bug Trace

      Description
      The kikaichu, unknown to most, are actually gendered. There are only very subtle differences between the males and the females, most of the time this makes no difference. The primary differentiation in their gender is that the females emit a special pheromone that is only able to be detected by the male kikaichuu. This pheromone is very potent and instantly recognized, so much so that the insects have the ability to lead their host to the females almost instantaneously, even in the heat of combat.

      Whenever you successfully deal damage with a full hit, you leave a female bug on the target. You gain a +2 Accuracy bonus, a +2 Awareness bonus, and have a +1 Critical Range against any target with a female bug on them.

      A target that has been bugged can take an action to search their body and kill the bug. This action costs 1.5 AP. Any number of targets can be bugged at a time.

      Description
      The most basic technique in the Aburame's repertoire; this technique utilizes a massive group of insects to create a clone of the user. These clones are relatively rudimentary, but they serve the purpose of distracting opponents. Because they are completely comprised of the kikaichuu, when the clone is hit, the attacker now has to wrestle with the bugs themselves. At higher levels this technique can instead opt for being much more resistant a the cost of being less offensive.

      You create up to two material clones made of kikaichuu which have 5% of your HP. Whenever these clones are hit by a melee attack, the attacker takes 150 chakra damage. You recover CP equal to the amount of chakra damage dealt.

      Description
      This technique uses the Aburame's bugs to form a protective shield by having them fly in a dome shape at a very high speed. This guards the small area from harm and disrupts attacks that were aimed at it, but it is rather weak; dissipating quickly and not being able to guard very much damage. Masters of this technique also have the ability to utilize the dying bug's chakra in order to restore the chakra of those that were shielded by the dome.

      Description
      A basic but strong technique; this jutsu disperses the Aburame's bugs into a heavy cloud of bugs that swarm an opponent, using not only their chakra draining abilities, but their insect teeth and claws to hurt their targets. Masters of this technique can add more bugs to the swarm, affecting a large group, or forgo the physical damage entirely for wholly chakra damage.

      An almost beautiful skill; the Aburame commands their insects to attack a target in a set of spiraling, sweeping motions that hinder their ability to react. Masters of this technique can utilize it to make very specific types of attempts.

      Description
      A devastatingly quick technique, this jutsu charges a number of the kikaichu with extra chakra, launching them off in rapid succession. The technique, although powerful, can be a little unwieldy because of the speed the bugs are fired. Mastery of this technique allows the Aburame more precisely control the bugs.

      Description
      An underhanded and potent jutsu, this skill targets an opponent's chakra holes; the microscopic vents that allow them to expel their chakra and mold it for attacks. By placing very hungry kikaichu on the most important of these holes, the Aburame effectively creates a vacuum that will eat a large amount of chakra. If the bugs eat enough chakra, they use that to explode painfully. Masters of this technique can use more bugs, effectively making it more difficult to counter.

If the target expels a total amount of 5000 CP while these bugs are on them, they explode, dealing 2700 non-elemental damage. This damage cannot be dodged, but can be reduced as normal.

      A target that has been bugged in this way can take an action to remove all the bugs. This action costs 1.5 AP. Only one target can be affected by this jutsu at a time.

      Description
      The most powerful Aburame bloodline jutsu, the Kikai Vortex summons almost all of the user's insects from their body, creating a huge tornado of bugs. This torrent of ravenous kikaichuu pull opponents into it, using the spinning as a vacuum to suck opponents in, where the bugs can devour whatever chakra is present. Mastery of the technique increases the speed of the bugs, increasing its pulling and debilitating power.

      You summon a giant torrent of kikaichuu, dealing 4400 chakra damage with a +2 Accuracy bonus to any number of targets within the AoE. Any target inside the AoE receives a -2 Dodge penalty as long as it remains in the AoE. Targets that receive a full hit are trapped inside the vortex and cannot normally move out of it.

      If a target begins the round inside of the torrent, it deals 2200 chakra damage during the upkeep sub-round.

      A target trapped in the tornado must win an opposed NIN vs NIN roll in order to move out of the AoE during the movement sub-round. Actions that move them can still move them out of the AoE as normal.
